Brazilian Grand Prix Preview

With Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton having already clinched their respective championships this season, there might not be a ton of drama left at the top, but there is plenty of racing to be done elsewhere as the 2019 Brazilian Grand Prix should still pack an entertaining punch per normal.

The three through five spots in the standings are cramped with Charles Leclerc on 249 points, Max Verstappen on 235 and Sebastian Vettel on 230 heading into the penultimate race of the season.

Just beyond that, Alex Albon sits on 84 points while Carlos Sainz has 80 and Pierre Gasly 77 from spots six through eight.

Hamilton has won two of the last three races here, bookending a 2017 win by Vettel. Grabbing a podium and outracing his Ferrari teammate Leclerc down the stretch would serve Vettel well.

The pressure is off Hamilton, Bottas and the Mercedes team now so it should be interesting to see what happens further down the standings. Brazil is frequently one of the most exciting races of the calendar and this weekend should be no different.
