GoBowling 235 at the Daytona Road Course Preview

For the first time since the NASCAR Cup Series restart in mid-May, the drivers and crew are gearing up for a road course and are doing so in the dark.

The first-ever Cup Series race at Daytona International Speedway Road Course is taking place on Sunday, a week after current points leader Kevin Harvick completed the weekend doubleheader sweep at Michigan.

Handicapping a track that the drivers have never competed at can be a tricky thing, but looking at other road courses may help in that process.

Chase Elliott is one to keep an eye on as he has competed in 10 road-course races at the Cup Series level at Watkins Glen, Sonoma and Charlotte’s road track. He has picked up three checkered flags and four top-five finishes over that span.
