Elliott Claims the GEICO 500 at Talladega
Chase Elliott won a bang and crash version of the GEICO 500 on Sunday. It was Elliott's first race win since October and it came on the same track where his father Bill won twice in the 80s.
It was a podium sweep for Chevrolet as Alex Bowman finished runner up with Ryan Preece grabbing third. Joey Logano's Ford was followed by two more Chevy's in Daniel Hemric and Kurt Busch. .
It was a tough day for Toyota as Kyle Busch's No. 18 was the only car they put in the top 18.
