Wooden Legacy - Pepperdine Falls 80-77 Against Providence - Game Recap

Nate Watson scored 15 points leading Providence to a 80-77 victory over Pepperdine at Anaheim Convention Center on Sunday.

Providence won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -7.5-point spread.

A.J. Reeves had 15 points for Providence and Alpha Diallo chipped in with 13 points. Alpha Diallo had 6 assists for them, while Alpha Diallo was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 9 boards.

Pepperdine got a 29-point performance from Colbey Ross, who was supported by 17 points from Kessler Edwards. Darryl Polk Jr. had 6 assists in a losing cause for Pepperdine, while Kessler Edwards grabbed 10 rebounds.

Providence led at halftime, 38-32.

Providence won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 37-33.

Providence looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Rhode Island. Pepperdine will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Idaho State.
