Argonauts Fall 27-24 Against Montreal - Game Recap

Montreal got 3 passing strikes from Vernon Adams Jr. en route to a 27-24 victory over Toronto on Friday in Week 19 action at Percival Molson Memorial Stadium.

Montreal did not, however, defeat the Argonauts against the spread, which closed at -10.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 52.5.

Vernon Adams Jr. completed 16 of 23 pass attempts for 249 yards and 3 TDs for the Alouettes in the win.

James Wilder Jr. rushed for 39 yards for Toronto, while A.J. Ouellette added 20 yards. McLeod Bethel-Thompson threw for 342 yards for the Argonauts, while receivers Chandler Worthy and S.J. Green had 93 and 83 yards respectively.

Montreal was outgained by Toronto 405-385 yards in Friday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 29-21 by the Argonauts.

Toronto led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 30:54-29:06 split in that important category.

Next game, Montreal takes its act home to face Hamilton looking for another win. For Toronto, they head home to face Ottawa.
