Knights Down Stanford 45-27 - Match Report
Dillon Gabriel led the way with 347 passing yards on Saturday as the Knights picked up a 45-27 victory over the Cardinal at Bright House Networks Stadium.
UCF was a favorite by -9.5 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 59.0.
Dillon Gabriel completed 22 of 30 pass attempts for 347 yards for the Knights in the win.
Austin Jones rushed for 65 yards for Stanford, while Cameron Scarlett added 45 yards. K.J. Costello threw for 199 yards for the Cardinal, while receivers Michael Wilson and Osiris St. Brown had 71 and 51 yards respectively.
Stanford lost the offensive yardage battle to UCF 545-349 yards in Saturday's game. UCF had more first downs as that total ended up 24-21.
UCF lost the time of possession battle 32:31-27:29, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, UCF takes its act on the road to face Pittsburgh looking for another win. For Stanford, they head home to face Oregon.
