Sooners Down Baylor 34-31 - Match Report

Jalen Hurts scampered through the Baylor defense for 114 yards as Oklahoma handed the Bears a 34-31 defeat on Saturday at McLane Stadium.

Oklahoma won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -10.5-point spread. The game went UNDER the consensus closing total of 69.0.

Jalen Hurts rushed for 114 yards, while Kennedy Brooks added 93 yards in the win. Lee Morris and Charleston Rambo added 86 and 50 receiving yards respectively.

Charlie Brewer rushed for 65 yards for Baylor, while JaMycal Hasty added 42 yards. Charlie Brewer threw for 194 yards for the Bears, while receivers Denzel Mims and John Lovett had 92 and 34 yards respectively.

Baylor lost the offensive yardage battle to Oklahoma 525-307 yards in Saturday's game. Oklahoma had more first downs as that total ended up 34-18.

The time of possession battle favored Oklahoma as their offense was on the field for 41:11, longer than the 18:49 of their opponents.

Next game, Oklahoma takes its act home to face Texas Christian looking for another win. For Baylor, they head home to face Texas.
