Eagles vs Warhawks Final: 51-29 - Recap

J.D. King scampered through the Louisiana-Monroe defense for 102 yards as Georgia Southern handed the Warhawks a 51-29 defeat on Saturday at Allen E. Paulson Stadium.

Josh Johnson rushed for 43 yards for Louisiana-Monroe, while Caleb Evans added 27 yards. Caleb Evans threw for 285 yards for the Warhawks, while receivers Perry Carter Jr. and Jonathan Hodoh had 95 and 68 yards respectively.

Georgia Southern was outgained by Louisiana-Monroe 370-325 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 19-18 by the Eagles.

Georgia Southern led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 33:36-26:24 split in that important category.

Georgia Southern looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Arkansas State. Louisiana-Monroe will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Coastal Carolina.
