Recap - Cardinals Defeat Syracuse 56-34

Javian Hawkins tore up the turf for 233 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Cardinals to a 56-34 win over the Orange at Cardinal Stadium.

The Cardinals were a -7.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 65.0.

Javian Hawkins rushed for 233 yards, while Hassan Hall added 71 yards in the win. Chatarius Atwell and Seth Dawkins added 152 and 29 receiving yards respectively.

Moe Neal rushed for 163 yards for Syracuse, while Jawhar Jordan added 35 yards. Tommy DeVito threw for 153 yards for the Orange, while receivers Jawhar Jordan and Trishton Jackson had 87 and 64 yards respectively.

Louisville outgained Syracuse 608-510 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 27-25 by the Orange.

Syracuse led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 32:44-27:16 split in that important category.

Next game, Louisville takes its act on the road to face Kentucky looking for another win. For Syracuse, they head home to face Wake Forest.
