Texas Tech Falls 63-56 to Longhorns - Recap

Texas earned a 63-56 victory over Texas Tech on Saturday in Week 4 action at Jones AT&T Stadium.

The Longhorns won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -17.5-point spread. OVER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an OVER play.

Keaontay Ingram rushed for 89 yards, while Sam Ehlinger added 69 yards in the win. Joshua Moore and Brenden Schooler added 73 and 58 receiving yards respectively.

SaRodorick Thompson rushed for 104 yards for Texas Tech, while Myles Price added 7 yards. Alan Bowman threw for 325 yards for the Red Raiders, while receivers Erik Ezukanma and KeSean Carter had 91 and 77 yards respectively.

Texas Tech was outgained by Texas 476-441 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 27-24 by the Longhorns.

The time of possession battle favored Texas as their offense was on the field for 34:39, longer than the 25:21 of their opponents.

Texas looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against TCU. Texas Tech will aim to get back on the winning track at Kansas State.
