Flames vs Panthers Final: 36-34 - Recap

Liberty got a 107-yard performance from Joshua Mack as a key part of its 36-34 victory over the Panthers on Saturday at Williams Stadium.

Liberty won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -9.5-point spread. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 60.5.

Joshua Mack rushed for 107 yards, while Malik Willis added 85 yards in the win. DJ Stubbs and Kevin Shaa added 119 and 91 receiving yards respectively.

D'vonte Price rushed for 148 yards for FIU, while Kaylan Wiggins added 35 yards. Stone Norton threw for 120 yards for the Panthers, while receivers Bryce Singleton and Sterling Palmer had 50 and 28 yards respectively.

Liberty outgained FIU 527-304 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 31-16 by the Flames.

FIU lost the time of possession battle 37:21-22:39, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Liberty takes its act home to face North Alabama looking for another win. For FIU, they head home to face Middle Tennessee.
