SMU Defeats Stephen F. Austin 50-7 - Recap

Stephen F. Austin was unable to contain TJ McDaniel on Saturday and the result was a 50-7 Week 4 loss against the Mustangs.

SMU won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -37.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 63.5.

TJ McDaniel rushed for 104 yards, while Ulysses Bentley IV added 104 yards in the win. Kylen Granson and Rashee Rice added 38 and 37 receiving yards respectively.

Jaquarion Turner rushed for 35 yards for Stephen F. Austin, while Tre'Jon Henderson added 27 yards. Preston Weeks threw for 32 yards for the Lumberjacks, while receivers Jeremiah Miller and Remi Simmons had 41 and 29 yards respectively.

Stephen F. Austin was outgained by SMU 432-216 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 24-14 by the Mustangs.

SMU lost the time of possession battle 34:25-25:35, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
