UCF Knights vs East Carolina Pirates Recap - Knights Win 51-28
Dillon Gabriel was good for 408 yards through the air on Saturday as the Knights got past the Pirates by a score of 51-28 at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.
The Knights won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -28.0-point spread. OVER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an OVER play.
Dillon Gabriel completed 32 of 47 pass attempts for 408 yards for the Knights in the win.
Keaton Mitchell rushed for 66 yards for East Carolina, while Holton Ahlers added 55 yards. Holton Ahlers threw for 215 yards for the Pirates, while receivers Audie Omotosho and C.J. Johnson had 56 and 52 yards respectively.
East Carolina lost the offensive yardage battle to UCF 632-459 yards in Saturday's game. UCF had more first downs as that total ended up 29-25.
The time of possession battle favored East Carolina as their offense was on the field for 33:08, longer than the 26:52 of their opponents.
UCF looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Tulsa. East Carolina will aim to get back on the winning track at Georgia State.
