UTSA Defeats Middle Tennessee 37-35 - Recap

Zakhari Franklin inflicted damage on the Middle Tennessee secondary, receiving 119 yards as UTSA defeated the Blue Raiders 37-35 at Alamodome.

UTSA won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -5.5-point spread. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 58.5.

Sincere McCormick rushed for 82 yards, while Frank Harris added 7 yards in the win. Zakhari Franklin and Brennon Dingle added 119 and 72 receiving yards respectively.

Jayy McDonald rushed for 76 yards for Middle Tennessee, while Asher O'Hara added 61 yards. Asher O'Hara threw for 372 yards for the Blue Raiders, while receivers Jarrin Pierce and Yusuf Ali had 107 and 86 yards respectively.

UTSA lost the offensive yardage battle to Middle Tennessee 563-391 yards in Friday's game. Middle Tennessee had more first downs as that total ended up 27-16.

UTSA lost the time of possession battle 35:40-24:20, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, UTSA takes its act on the road to face UAB looking for another win. For Middle Tennessee, they head home to face WKU.
