UTEP Falls 67-47 Against Loyola Marymount - Game Recap

UTEP was run off the court by Loyola Marymount on Saturday as they blasted them 67-47 at Albert Gersten Pavilion.

Loyola Marymount was a -4.0-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters.

Justin Wright had 20 points for Loyola Marymount and Keli Leaupepe chipped in with 13 points. Justice Hill had 4 assists for them, while Alex Merkviladze was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 9 boards.

UTEP got 12 points from Tae Hardy in a losing cause and another 9 points from Zid Powell. Zid Powell contributed 2 assists for them, while Kevin Kalu had 7 rebounds.

Loyola Marymount was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Loyola Marymount won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 38-30.

Loyola Marymount heads into a battle against Central Arkansas. UTEP, meanwhile, will have their next action against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
