St. Bonaventure Defeats VCU 89-78 - Recap

St. Bonaventure got 19 points from Chad Venning en route to a 89-78 victory over VCU on Wednesday at Stuart Siegel Center.

St. Bonaventure won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +5.0-point spread as underdogs.

Charles Pride had 17 points for St. Bonaventure and Mika Adams-Woods chipped in with 16 points. Daryl Banks III had 3 assists for them, while Chad Venning was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 11 boards.

VCU got 15 points from Christian Fermin in a losing cause and another 13 points from Kuany Kuany. Sean Bairstow contributed 6 assists for them, while Christian Fermin had 9 rebounds.

St. Bonaventure was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

St. Bonaventure won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 33-28.

St. Bonaventure heads into a battle against Richmond. VCU, meanwhile, will have their next action against George Washington.
