Memphis Defeats Tulsa 78-75 - Recap

Memphis grabbed a 78-75 win over Tulsa on Thursday, behind a 17-point effort from Nae'Qwan Tomlin at Donald Reynolds Center.

Memphis won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -9.5-point spread.

David Jones had 17 points for Memphis and Jaykwon Walton chipped in with 11 points. Nick Jourdain had 3 assists for them, while David Jones was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 8 boards.

Tulsa got a 27-point performance from PJ Haggerty, who was supported by 16 points from Carlous Williams. Cobe Williams had 5 assists in a losing cause for Tulsa, while PJ Haggerty grabbed 8 rebounds.

Memphis was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Memphis won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 34-28.
