Recap - Houston Defeats Oklahoma 87-85

Houston got 23 points from L.J. Cryer as they ran past Oklahoma 87-85 on Saturday at Lloyd Noble Center.

Houston won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -7.0-point spread.

J'Wan Roberts had 20 points for Houston and Jamal Shead chipped in with 14 points. Jamal Shead had 6 assists for them, while J'Wan Roberts was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 5 boards.

Oklahoma got 17 points from Sam Godwin in a losing cause and another 16 points from Rivaldo Soares. Javian McCollum contributed 8 assists for them, while Jalon Moore had 10 rebounds.

First-half bettors who backed Houston were victorious, as the score was 48-46 at the break.

Oklahoma won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 27-22.

Houston looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Central Florida. Oklahoma will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Cincinnati.
