Toronto Defeats Ottawa 39-9 - Recap
The RedBlacks were burned by Armanti Edwards for 126 receiving yards on Saturday as the Argonauts picked up a 39-9 win at BMO Field.
The Argonauts were a -6.0-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 52.5.
A.J. Ouellette rushed for 69 yards, while Dakota Prukop added 14 yards in the win. Armanti Edwards and Rodney Smith added 126 and 71 receiving yards respectively.
Greg Morris rushed for 32 yards for Ottawa, while Brendan Gillanders added 26 yards. Will Arndt threw for 194 yards for the RedBlacks, while receivers Caleb Holley and R.J. Harris had 64 and 38 yards respectively.
Toronto outgained Ottawa 450-261 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 24-13 by the Argonauts.
Ottawa lost the time of possession battle 32:21-27:39, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Toronto heads into a Week 21 battle against the Tiger-Cats. Ottawa, meanwhile, will have their next action against Montreal.
