Louisville Defeats WKU 38-21 - Recap

WKU was unable to slow down Chatarius Atwell, who produced 141 receiving yards as the Cardinals defeated the Hilltoppers 38-21 on Saturday.

Louisville won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -10.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 49.0.

Javian Hawkins rushed for 93 yards, while Hassan Hall added 55 yards in the win. Chatarius Atwell and Marshon Ford added 141 and 23 receiving yards respectively.

Gaej Walker rushed for 41 yards for WKU, while KeShawn McClendon added 15 yards. Steven Duncan threw for 245 yards for the Hilltoppers, while receivers Joshua Simon and Lucky Jackson had 77 and 40 yards respectively.

WKU was outgained by Louisville 415-288 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 21-14 by the Cardinals.

The time of possession battle favored Louisville as their offense was on the field for 29:05, longer than the 28:49 of their opponents.

Louisville looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Florida State. WKU will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Alabama-Birmingham.
