Nebraska Defeats NIU 44-8 - Recap

Nebraska got a 116-yard performance from Dedrick Mills as a key part of its 44-8 victory over the Huskies on Saturday at Memorial Stadium-Lincoln.

Nebraska was a favorite by -14.0 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors. The game went UNDER the consensus closing total of 54.0.

Dedrick Mills rushed for 116 yards, while Maurice Washington added 63 yards in the win. JD Spielman and Kanawai Noa added 76 and 51 receiving yards respectively.

Jordan Nettles rushed for 43 yards for NIU, while Tre Harbison added 30 yards. Marcus Childers threw for 28 yards for the Huskies, while receivers Daniel Crawford and Cole Tucker had 71 and 50 yards respectively.

NIU lost the offensive yardage battle to Nebraska 525-350 yards in Saturday's game. Nebraska had more first downs as that total ended up 22-20.

Nebraska lost the time of possession battle 37:58-22:02, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Nebraska heads into a Week 4 battle against Illinois. NIU, meanwhile, will have their next action against Vanderbilt.
