Longhorns Fall 23-21 Against Iowa State - Game Recap

Brock Purdy threw for 354 yards to lead the Cyclones over Texas 23-21 on Saturday in Week 12 action at Jack Trice Stadium.

The Cyclones won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -7.0-point spread. UNDER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an UNDER play.

Brock Purdy completed 30 of 48 pass attempts for 354 yards for the Cyclones in the win.

Sam Ehlinger rushed for 27 yards for Texas, while Roschon Johnson added 18 yards. Sam Ehlinger threw for 273 yards for the Longhorns, while receivers Devin Duvernay and Brennan Eagles had 107 and 84 yards respectively.

Texas lost the offensive yardage battle to Iowa State 466-327 yards in Saturday's game. Iowa State had more first downs as that total ended up 26-16.

Texas lost the time of possession battle 32:35-27:25, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Iowa State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Kansas. Texas will aim to get back on the winning track at Baylor.
