Ball State Falls 44-14 to Wildcats - Recap

Ray Davis tore up the turf for 112 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Wildcats to a 44-14 win over the Cardinals at Kroger Field.

Kentucky won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -25.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 49.5.

Ray Davis rushed for 112 yards, while JuTahn McClain added 9 yards in the win. Dane Key and Barion Brown added 96 and 39 receiving yards respectively.

Marquez Cooper rushed for 33 yards for Ball State, while Kiael Kelly added 21 yards. Kadin Semonza threw for 165 yards for the Cardinals, while receivers Ty Robinson and Tanner Koziol had 90 and 66 yards respectively.

Kentucky outgained Ball State 357-295 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 18-17 by the Cardinals.

Kentucky lost the time of possession battle 38:02-21:58, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Kentucky heads into a Week 2 battle against Eastern Kentucky. Ball State, meanwhile, will have their next action against Georgia.
