Texas Defeats Wyoming 31-10 - Recap

Jonathon Brooks tore up the turf for 164 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Longhorns to a 31-10 win over the Cowboys at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium/Jamail Field.

The Longhorns won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -30.5-point spread. UNDER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an UNDER play.

Jonathon Brooks rushed for 164 yards, while Jaydon Blue added 14 yards in the win. Xavier Worthy and Adonai Mitchell added 56 and 30 receiving yards respectively.

Harrison Waylee rushed for 110 yards for Wyoming, while D.Q. James added 34 yards. Evan Svoboda threw for 136 yards for the Cowboys, while receivers Wyatt Wieland and Devin Boddie Jr. had 62 and 25 yards respectively.

Wyoming lost the offensive yardage battle to Texas 316-291 yards in Saturday's game. Wyoming had more first downs as that total ended up 17-13.

The time of possession battle favored Wyoming as their offense was on the field for 38:47, longer than the 21:13 of their opponents.

Texas heads into a Week 4 battle against Baylor. Wyoming, meanwhile, will have their next action against Appalachian State.
