Southern Miss Golden Eagles vs Arkansas State Red Wolves Wrap - Arkansas State Wins 44-37

The Golden Eagles came up short against the Red Wolves in Week 4 action on Saturday, falling 44-37 at Centennial Bank Stadium.

Arkansas State won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +7.0-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 46.5.

Jaylen Raynor rushed for 97 yards, while Ja'Quez Cross added 58 yards in the win. Courtney Jackson and Jeff Foreman added 94 and 77 receiving yards respectively.

Frank Gore Jr. rushed for 132 yards for Southern Miss, while Rodrigues Clark added 77 yards. Billy Wiles threw for 215 yards for the Golden Eagles, while receivers Jakarius Caston and Latreal Jones had 65 and 63 yards respectively.

Arkansas State lost the offensive yardage battle to Southern Miss 449-425 yards in Saturday's game. Southern Miss had more first downs as that total ended up 20-18.

Southern Miss led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 30:28-29:32 split in that important category.

Arkansas State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Massachusetts. Southern Miss will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Texas State.
