Georgia Defeats Auburn 27-20 - Recap

Carson Beck sliced and diced the Tigers defense for 313 yards as Georgia handed Auburn a 27-20 defeat on Saturday at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Georgia won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -14.0-point spread. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 44.5.

Carson Beck completed 23 of 33 pass attempts for 313 yards for the Bulldogs in the win.

Payton Thorne rushed for 92 yards for Auburn, while Jarquez Hunter added 59 yards. Robby Ashford threw for 6 yards for the Tigers, while receivers Rivaldo Fairweather and Brian Battie had 44 and 18 yards respectively.

Auburn lost the offensive yardage battle to Georgia 420-307 yards in Saturday's game. Georgia had more first downs as that total ended up 19-17.

Georgia lost the time of possession battle 30:09-29:51, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Georgia looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Kentucky. Auburn will aim to get back on the winning track at LSU.
