Hawkeyes vs Spartans Final: 26-16 - Recap

The Hawkeyes grabbed a Week 5 victory over the Spartans on Saturday, winning 26-16 at Kinnick Stadium.

The game was a push (tie) for betting purposes as the final score was identical to the -10.0 number at most sportsbooks. The game proved to be a winner for OVER bettors based on the closing total of 37.0.

Leshon Williams rushed for 38 yards, while Kamari Moulton added 25 yards in the win. Erick All and Diante Vines added 67 and 35 receiving yards respectively.

Nate Carter rushed for 108 yards for Michigan State, while Noah Kim added 35 yards. Noah Kim threw for 193 yards for the Spartans, while receivers Montorie Foster Jr. and Maliq Carr had 79 and 43 yards respectively.

Iowa lost the offensive yardage battle to Michigan State 349-222 yards in Saturday's game. Michigan State had more first downs as that total ended up 20-15.

Iowa lost the time of possession battle 33:48-26:12, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Iowa heads into a Week 6 battle against Purdue. Michigan State, meanwhile, will have their next action against Rutgers.
