Thundering Herd Down Old Dominion 41-35 - Match Report

Cam Fancher tore up the turf for 102 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Thundering Herd to a 41-35 win over the Monarchs at Joan C. Edwards Stadium.

The Thundering Herd won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -14.5-point spread. OVER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an OVER play.

Cam Fancher rushed for 102 yards, while Rasheen Ali added 79 yards in the win. Caleb Coombs and Mason Pierce added 76 and 74 receiving yards respectively.

Kadarius Calloway rushed for 236 yards for Old Dominion, while Jack Shields added 63 yards. Jack Shields threw for 95 yards for the Monarchs, while receivers Reymello Murphy and Jordan Bly had 42 and 34 yards respectively.

Marshall outgained Old Dominion 464-434 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 30-11 by the Thundering Herd.

The time of possession battle favored Marshall as their offense was on the field for 41:21, longer than the 18:39 of their opponents.

Next game, Marshall takes its act on the road to face NC State looking for another win. For Old Dominion, they head on the road to face Southern Miss.
