Old Dominion Falls 30-27 to Dukes - Recap
Jordan McCloud sliced and diced the Monarchs defense for 340 yards as James Madison handed Old Dominion a 30-27 defeat on Saturday at Showker Field at Bridgeforth Stadium.
James Madison did not, however, defeat the Monarchs against the spread, which closed at -19.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 48.5.
Jordan McCloud completed 27 of 40 pass attempts for 340 yards for the Dukes in the win.
Keshawn Wicks rushed for 74 yards for Old Dominion, while Kadarius Calloway added 65 yards. Grant Wilson threw for 277 yards for the Monarchs, while receivers Reymello Murphy and Javon Harvey had 70 and 65 yards respectively.
Old Dominion lost the offensive yardage battle to James Madison 463-415 yards in Saturday's game. James Madison had more first downs as that total ended up 22-20.
James Madison led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 32:35-27:25 split in that important category.
Next game, James Madison takes its act on the road to face Georgia State looking for another win. For Old Dominion, they head home to face Coastal Carolina.
