Recap - Vikings Defeat Denver 27-23

Kirk Cousins scorched the Broncos defense for 3 TDs as Minnesota defeated Denver 27-23 on Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Minnesota did not, however, defeat the Broncos against the spread, which closed at -10.0 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 40.0.

Kirk Cousins completed 29 of 35 pass attempts for 319 yards and 3 TDs for the Vikings in the win.

Phillip Lindsay rushed for 67 yards for Denver, while Royce Freeman added 31 yards. Brandon Allen threw for 240 yards for the Broncos, while receivers Courtland Sutton and Tim Patrick had 113 and 77 yards respectively.

Minnesota lost the offensive yardage battle to Denver 394-321 yards in Sunday's game. Denver had more first downs as that total ended up 20-19.

The time of possession battle favored Denver as their offense was on the field for 36:43, longer than the 23:17 of their opponents.

Next game, Minnesota takes its act on the road to face Seattle looking for another win. For Denver, they head on the road to face Buffalo.
