Toronto Maple Leafs vs Boston Bruins Recap - Bruins Win 3-2

Boston earned a 3-2 victory over Toronto on Thursday, but needed a shootout to do it at TD Garden.

The Bruins were a -102 underdog in the win. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 6.0.

Boston got goals from Pavel Zacha, and Jake DeBrusk in the victory. Zacha opened the scoring at 18:51 of the first period.

Jeremy Swayman stopped 33 of 35 Toronto shots in the victory.

Mitchell Marner, and Auston Matthews scored for the Maple Leafs, finding the net behind Jeremy Swayman.

Ilya Samsonov stopped 38 of 40 shots for the Maple Leafs, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Boston went 0-for-2, while the Maple Leafs were 0-for-2 with the man advantage.

Toronto lost the shots on goal battle to Boston by a margin of 40-35.

Next game, Boston takes its act on the road to face Detroit looking for another win. For Toronto, they head home to face Buffalo.
