Seattle Falls 6-3 to Flames - Recap

Mikael Backlund scored twice to lead the Flames over Seattle 6-3 on Saturday at Climate Pledge Arena.

Bettors who backed the Flames were rewarded as +105 underdogs at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go OVER the closing total of 6.0.

Calgary got goals from Mikael Backlund(2), Martin Pospisil, Noah Hanifin, Rasmus Andersson, and Yegor Sharangovich in the victory. Pospisil opened the scoring at 13:59 of the first period.

Dan Vladar turned in a 17-save effort for the Flames.

Seattle got goals from Eeli Tolvanen, Oliver Bjorkstrand, and Jaden Schwartz in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Philipp Grubauer stopped 25 of 29 shots for the Kraken, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Calgary went 1-for-2, while the Kraken were 1-for-3 with the man advantage.

Calgary outshot Seattle 31-20 in the game.

Calgary looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Predators. The Kraken will aim to get back on the winning track at Arizona.
