Boston Falls 5-2 to Blue Jackets - Recap

Columbus skated to a 5-2 victory over Boston on Monday in NHL action at Nationwide Arena.

The Blue Jackets were a +235 underdog in the win. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 6.5.

Columbus got goals from Justin Danforth, Yegor Chinakhov, Ivan Provorov, Kirill Marchenko, and Dmitri Voronkov in the victory. Voronkov opened the scoring at 15:52 of the first period.

Spencer Martin turned in a 31-save effort for the Blue Jackets.

Matthew Poitras, and John Beecher scored for the Bruins, finding the net behind Spencer Martin.

Linus Ullmark stopped 18 of 20 shots for the Bruins, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Columbus went 1-for-5, while the Bruins were 0-for-2 with the man advantage.

Boston lost the shots on goal battle to Columbus by a margin of 40-33.

Columbus looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Canadiens. The Bruins will aim to get back on the winning track vs. San Jose.
