Vancouver Skates Past Chicago 4-3 - Recap

Vancouver skated to a 4-3 victory over Chicago on Sunday in NHL action at United Center.

Bettors who backed the Canucks were rewarded as -201 favorites at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go OVER the closing total of 6.5.

Vancouver got goals from Elias Pettersson, Dakota Joshua, Brock Boeser, and Ilya Mikheyev in the victory. Pettersson opened the scoring at 18:15 of the first period.

Thatcher Demko turned in a 25-save effort for the Canucks.

Chicago got goals from Nick Foligno(2), and Cole Guttman in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Petr Mrazek stopped 23 of 27 shots for the Blackhawks, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Vancouver went 1-for-4, while the Blackhawks were 2-for-4 with the man advantage.

Chicago outshot Vancouver 28-27 in the game.

Next game, Vancouver takes its act on the road to face Nashville looking for another win. For Chicago, they head home to face Colorado.
